The Hilton Head Island Recreation Association Board and staff would like to thank the hundreds of residents and businesses for their support of our annual "Friends Drive" campaign. We have been proud to provide 30 years of constructive recreational programs and activities to this community.
During this time, the Island Recreation Association has continually promoted the importance of providing every child in our community the opportunity to participate in our programs despite the cost. The community insures this effort with the support of our "Friends Drive" which funds our scholarship program to families in need. These scholarships help many children who might not otherwise participate in programs such as summer day camp, preschool childcare, after school care, swimming lessons and many others.
Our scholarship program is only made possible through contributions from the community. Our goal this year is to raise $90,000. With the help for the community, we will reach this goal and will continue to enrich the lives of our participants.
We know our community has hundreds of options when it comes to supporting charitable causes, which is why the Island Recreation Association has always greatly appreciated the outpouring of help it has received from our wonderful residents and businesses.
