Boys in middle and high school will meet every Tuesday & Thursday evening at Bristol Sports arena to practice and play box lacrosse.
Seasoned lacrosse veterans, Rick Saba and John Friday will head up lessons, skills, and play.
Please bring/wear: Stick, gloves, helmet, elbow pads, chest/shoulder pads, athletic shoes (no cleats)

Basic wrestling techniques in 3 styles: folkstyle, freestyle, and Greco Roman. Opportunities to compete in state, regional, and national events. Wrestling is the best self-defense discipline you can learn, period.
Michael Miller, USAWrestling coach for 3 years under the tutelage of Jeff Estrada. Coach Estrada is one of the best coaches in the country with several national champions and countless All-Americans on his resume. Wrestling shoes(required), headgear(optional but recommended)

Kids will be placed on teams with a coach after registration. This division will practice and play on Friday evenings. Teams will have practice before Christmas and then play games starting in January into February.
Instructors will be Island Rec Staff employees and volunteer coaches with proper basketball knowledge.

A fun flag football experience by teams wearing authentic replica NFL jerseys. PLEASE NOTE the season may go on until the first Sunday of March 2025. This will be determined by the need for make-up games, and/or the availability of refs (who are HS kids). Parents, coaches, and players are expected to show the sportsmanship.
We will have a ZERO TOLERANCE policy regarding anyone displaying bad sportsmanship, or being negative towards anyone. rules will be catered for Recreation. NOTE: Please understand that your requests for team assignments (players, friends, coaches, etc) are NOT GUARANTEED.

Students will engage in Dance Classes from genres and techniques in World Dance as well as Dance in America. Students will learn not only learn the correct dance fundamentals, they will also explore the history and culture of each genre. Dance provides 21st Century skills as well as being considered the most beneficial exercise to engage in as it promotes mental health and well being, confidence, physical health and a sense of community.
From Ms. J: I have a BFA in Dance from Ohio State University. After graduating I worked as a professional in tv/film and Broadway in NYC. After relocating to the area I became a Dance teacher for BCSD for ten years. In addition, I was the lead Dance Teacher for the District.

Our Winter Track Program is designed to help young athletes build strength, endurance and agility in a fun and supportive environment. Through tailored exercises and expert coaching, participants will develop essential fitness skills to enhance their performance in various sports. This program is ideal for preparing athletes for their upcoming seasons or simply improving their physical health.
Coaches Frank Holland, Corey Taylor and Jeremy Press will be facilitating practices and training. Each coach has over 30 years of experience in this field as athlete and a coach.
Please bring/wear: Running attire and water bottle

Stay sharp and build your soccer skills this winter at the Island Rec Center Winter Skills Soccer Camp! Led by professional coaches, participants will engage in focused skill development and fun, high-energy training.
The soccer lead will be Coach Lindsay Taylor. She is an USSF A Youth Licensed coach with over a decade of coaching experience.

Jesse Eddy has partnered with some local College basketball players to conduct a two-day skills clinic. Participants will sharpen up on ball handling, shooting, passing, defense and skill moves while having fun and engaging with their peers.
Jesse Eddy, Hilton Head native, and local basketball standout played at Armstrong Atlantic State University before going on to the European summer league. As a starting point guard, he led his team to a championship before returning to his home here on Hilton Head to work with developing players. Jesse uses his background in biology, physical therapy, and personal training and his deep passion for and knowledge of the game of basketball to train the next generation of athletes into the best players they can be.
Please bring your own basketball if you have one.

Fitness Classroom 2 | $125
New students must pay for a uniform. Through this program, you will learn self-confidence, a mixture of cardiovascular endurance, strength training, and flexibility exercises. This will improve reflexes and coordination while increasing strength and stamina. Overall fitness will be achieved.

Participants will learn sideline cheers and chants and half-time performance. Participants will cheer with the Hilton Head High Cheer and Dance teams and perform during half-time. Participants will practice January 24th from 4:00 to 5:30 pm @ the HHIHS cafeteria. Participants will cheer and perform January 26th @ the Hilton Head vs. Bluffton women's game @ 6:00 pm. Participants must register by 1/12/2024 to guarantee correct t-shirt size. Please bring/wear: water bottle and sneakers.

Tormenta FC Academy is hosting Christmas Soccer Camp at Barker Field where all kids will have fun, make friends, and learn soccer skills. We look forward to having your family work with our master coaches in an amazing environment for learning soccer. The lead instructor is Kian Brownlee who is the Director of Coaching at Tormenta FC Academy.
Kian Brownlee has over twenty years of experience in working with kids in a camp setting where they have fun, develop a love for the game, and gain skills. The kids will love working with Kian and his staff.

This program is for youth novices, beginners, and intermediate players. Beginners progress rapidly by starting with small racquets and low-compression balls. More experienced players are challenged with drills and games based on level. All players receive a combination of technical instruction and fun gameplay to exercise skills. Racquets will be provided to those who do not have them.
Lead coach is local pro Royce Silvan, USPTR certified tennis professional. Our partner for this program, Public Tennis Inc., offers clinics and competitive play opportunities for adults, children and Special Olympics athletes
